2006 Aerial Map Order Form  (Quantity discounts available)

The 2006 Aerial Land Use Map includes the following boundaries: City of Conroe (N); U.S. 290 (W); F.M. 525 (S); Lake Houston (E).

The map identifies existing colleges, hospitals, railroads, the proposed Grand Parkway route, freeways, toll ways, major streets, airports, commercial and retail development, subdivisions, school district boundaries and recreational areas.

North Houston Association Strategic Mobility Plan

The 2004 Strategic Mobility Plan Mission is:  To identify and advocate for specific regional transportation projects that will improve mobility, enhance business opportunities, and benefit the overall quality of life for residents in the Association's service area.

Goals for the Strategic Mobility Plan are:

  • Provide opportunities for input from NHA members, area Chambers of Commerce and transportation funding agencies.
  • Host an informative membership meeting in order to update the NHA membership on the current status of these projects and to help determine what activiites need to be undertaken to ensure progress.
  • Advocate for identified projects.

The North Houston Association's Fact Book is designed to help Association members and other interested parties to better understand the current trends, developments and activities in north Houston and south Montgomery County. The book includes 7 sections which address the major subjects relating to land development.

The demographics section provides a comprehensive look at the population trends in north Houston that include both Harris and Montgomery Counties. The section also analyzes the population of north Houston and provides data relating to ethnicity, age and income levels of north Houston.

The healthcare section begins with a description of healthcare available in north Houston. The reader will find a listing of the north Houston area hospitals followed by The Texas Medical Center area hospitals. The section also lists north Houston area medical clinics, emergency care clinics and assisted living centers.

The political jurisdiction and taxing authorities section is separated into two parts. The first details the political jurisdictions of the U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives, Texas State Senators, Texas State Representatives, and County Commissioners responsible for north Houston and south Montgomery Counties. This section is followed by taxing authorities, which entails financing of public services, Houston's annexation procedure, tax abatement as a mechanism for economic development, and utility districts in north Houston.

The lodging section captures the current trends of the hospitality industry in north Houston. The section is divided into three areas: conference facilities with lodging, conference facilities with lodging nearby, and lodging facilities.

The quality of life section details the lifestyles unique to north Houston. North Houston's natural features, golf courses, cultural activities and annual activities are described in this section.

The education section includes three categories: colleges, public schools and private schools. The college section describes the role of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District, The University Center, Our Lady of the Lake University, and University of Houston-North Houston Institute in providing support for technical, industrial, and academic programs. The public school category provides statistical summaries of each of the 13 north Houston independent school districts. The private schools section lists the accredited private schools in the region.

The transportation section begins with a description of existing north Houston roads and local transportation infrastructure. This section also provides a list of planned road projects for the area. Inter-agency cooperation between METRO, TXDOT, and H-GAC are discussed. This section mentions recent transportation milestones and expected results. The chapter then moves to airports and air travel, detailing George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the local airports. There is further information on regional transit, taxis and shuttles, airports, the Port of Houston, freight rail and trucking.
