RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE 2025 MONTGOMERY COUNTY ROAD BOND

WHEREAS, the North Houston Association (NHA), is a regional business association dedicated to quality infrastructure and development; and

WHEREAS, Montgomery County continues to grow at a rapid rate, and has experienced a 45% population increase since the last road bond in 2015; and

WHEREAS, traffic congestion in Montgomery County continues to be an issue; and

WHEREAS, the 2025 Montgomery County Road Bond will be placed before voters in the May 3 election, and if passed will approve a $480 million bond to fund 76 projects across the county; and

WHEREAS, NHA is a strong advocate for regional mobility, and has advocated for a number of projects identified on the 2025 Bond Project List; and

WHEREAS, passage of the 2025 Montgomery County Road Bond is not anticipated to result in a property tax rate increase; and

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Directors of the North Houston Association is in full support of the passage of the 2025 Montgomery County Road Bond.
