It’s not every day you have snow on the roads in Houston, and due to concerns for travel NHA’s welcome reception for Montgomery County Precinct 3’s Commissioner, Ritch Wheeler was postponed to Thursday, January 23rd, 2025. We are grateful to have elected officials and local leaders that care for the safety of their constituents.

During his short remarks, Commissioner Wheeler emphasized his desire to connect with the citizens of precinct 3 and repair that relationship with the community. Collaboration and communication are key componets to his approach as Commissioner.  “Every member of the staff at precinct 3 cares about and loves their community. If you don’t know us yet, stop by, have a cup of coffee and get to know us. The doors open!”

The Commissioner also couldn’t help but spotlight his staff, for a very well-deserved reason. “When I pulled up at the office on Sunday, I was one of more than 10 cars in the parking lot. Though it was the weekend, the crews were out there Sunday night, and Monday

morning (MLK day and a county holiday) because they wanted to make sure the roads were as safe as possible come the storms on Tuesday.”

We can’t express the thanks we feel to our honored guest Commissioner Wheeler, The Audrey at Market Street, and our attendees for the collaboration it took to still have a fantastic reception, even postponed by a day.
