The 6th Annual NHA Golf Tournament, affectionately known as the “hotter than #@!!” tournament, was held Monday. August 21 at The Woodlands Resort and Country Club. The event raised more than $25,000 for the Association. NHA tournament participants teed off at 12:30 p.m. on the Pines Course, which had plenty of shade for all the gracious tournament volunteers. Reliant Energy HL&P/Entex won both first and second place, and The Betz Companies won third place. Fred Martinez, ATSER, L.P., won Longest Drive; Steve Head, North Harris Montgomery Community College District, won Closest to the Pin; Steve Johnson, Southwestern Bell, won the Chipping Contest, and Mike Alexander, ExxonMobil won the Putting Contest. Tournament sponsors and volunteers made the event an outstanding success.
