Baker Hughes Inteq has 132 commuters saving lime, money and stress on their trek to work each day. The North Houston Association’s Transportation Management Organization (NHA-TMO), along with Metro, helped the company get 12 vanpools on the road over the last year. “One reason vanpooling is so successful at this company is they have become an excellent example of a corporate champion,” said Pat Wisniewski, projects coordinator.

“Baker Hughes Inteq provides a monetary incentive to its employees to utilize the vanpools. This, in combination with METRO’S monthly financial support, saves commuters money on their drive to and from work.” “The company also receives a tax benefit for offering a transportation program to their employees.” said Wisniewski. Baker Hughes Inteq expanded its alternative transportation program for its employees when it relocated approximately 100 employees from the company’s Bellway 8/Westheimer facility to it’s building on Rankin Road.
